Garden Of Unity
As an award-winning garden designer in the UK, Manoj Maldé approached the Garden of Unity as an opportunity to create something far more meaningful than a traditional show garden. Commissioned for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the brief was to design a space that celebrated cultural connection, diversity, and shared human experience — while still delivering a visually compelling and immersive garden design. The challenge lay in balancing symbolism, accessibility, and storytelling within a cohesive, beautifully resolved environment.
Through a deeply considered and bespoke garden design process, Manoj brought together elements from multiple cultures, weaving them seamlessly into the landscape through planting, materials, and spatial design. A vibrant colour palette, layered planting, and carefully placed focal points created a garden that felt both inclusive and uplifting. At its heart, a central gathering space encouraged conversation and connection, reinforcing the garden’s purpose. The result is a powerful, community-led garden — one that demonstrates how thoughtful design can bring people together, spark dialogue, and create a lasting emotional impact.
